Imposter · how to play

6 steps to play Imposter.

  • 1

Innocents all get the same location, but different roles.

For example — a chef at a restaurant and a manager at a restaurant.

  • 2

Imposters do not know the location and have no role.

  • 3

Each round starts with a random player asking another player a question about their role or location.

Ex. “How do you usually dress when you’re at this place?”

  • 4

Whoever gets passed the question can then ask their own question to someone else.

Optional rule — you can still have discussions outside the question.

  • 5

Innocents must clear their names and decide who to vote out as imposters.

But don’t give away too much!

  • 6

Imposters must act as if they belong and try to figure out the location.

Imposters win if they are not voted out OR if they guess the correct location after getting voted out.
